AI Usage Policy
AI Usage Policy
We use AI in how this site is made, and we'd rather tell you exactly how than let you guess.
What AI does here
- Research aggregation: pulling together public reporting, press releases, and other primary sources on a given story.
- Drafting: writing the first version of a post based on that research.
- Organization and editing: structuring posts, tightening language, formatting.
What AI does not do
- AI does not invent facts, statistics, quotes, sources, or citations. If a claim can't be traced to something actually published, it's cut from the draft — not filled in with a plausible-sounding guess.
- AI does not publish anything on its own. Every draft is saved as an unpublished draft and reviewed by a human before it goes live.
- AI does not fabricate first-hand experience, testing, or credentials it doesn't have. This site doesn't claim hands-on product testing or original data collection unless a human author actually did it.
Human review, before publishing
Every post goes through a human review pass before publication: checking that the facts hold up against the linked sources, that nothing was fabricated, and that the framing is fair. Posts are not scheduled to auto-publish — they sit as drafts until reviewed.
Unverified information
If something in a story is genuinely unconfirmed or disputed at the time of writing, we say so explicitly in the post rather than presenting it as settled fact.
Why we're disclosing this
AI-assisted content is increasingly common and not inherently a problem — but readers deserve to know how something was made, especially when it touches their money or decisions. This policy will be updated if our process changes.
